The work Tranquillity emerged from a sense of relaxation. It was created after a grueling day of training—a masterclass on anatomy in sculpture—marked by strictly defined body types that were to be rendered: male, obese, muscular, and anorexic. Tranquillity serves as a counterpoint: androgynous, with a fluid body form.
A figure appears—relaxed, meditative—steps outside of itself—interacts with itself. *Tranquillity* explores introspection and relaxation as a counterpoint to the noisy real and digital world, presenting a contemplative examination of the self.
